8th Annual Under the Big Top for Autism @ Liberty Grand (Thu. Nov. 15, 2018)

It was a fun and successful evening at The Liberty Grand benefiting Autism Speaks Canada, with over 600 in attendance!! This is a cause that’s especially dear to everyone as autism affects 1 in 88 children and that number is growing constantly. It was an honour to be a part of an event that is trying to help children and parents in the absence of a cure.

This was the “Swan Song” for the  8th annual Under the Big Top for Autism, and after eight successful years, the organizers have decided that this will be the finale for this great gala.

This night was the result of years of planning, inspired by Paula’s son CJ, who was diagnosed with autism in 2007. Paula Stamp used that theme, as the title suggests that re-created the charm of being a kid at the circus. There were fire jugglers, Cirque artist and acrobats. TV personality Steve Anthony was the master of ceremonies and as always  no one was spared. Special guests included The members of the musical group, The Spoons and boxing great George Chuvalo, who were all too happy to pose for photos with their many fans in the silent auction area. Singing sensation Michael Daniels provided entertainment that blew the audience away! Our dinner was delicious and the open bar obviously led us to the dance floor at the end of the night.

Autism Speaks is a charity that is dedicated to autism science and advocacy, funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments towards a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.

We would like to thank Paula Stamp for the invitation to this event.
