Berkeley Events Open House – Tuesday, January 29, 2019

by Sally Warburton
Berkeley Events Open House was an opportunity to check out the 5 Berkeley event venues. Each of the Berkeley venues has its own unique personality. They should all be seen before making a decision for a special occasion… and this was the perfect way of discovering them.
All conveniently located in downtown Toronto with access to the TTC transit system. January 29 was an evening to view and compare the venues when thinking of a wedding, birthday, retirement, fundraiser, business function or another special event.
Seen first was ‘1871’ Berkeley Church to 315 Church Street East – a huge hall venue in a former church, tables elegantly set, huge bar, lots of room for a live band or DJ with a big dance floor area.
The 2nd floor gives a view of the main floor. Second venue located a few doors away at 311 Queen Street East is the Berkeley Field House. A smaller more intimate venue – although still lots of room for big tables, bar, an outdoor area (for the warmer weather!!) with a treehouse. Another beautiful venue and the outside area is a huge asset in the summer months. Each venue had event planners available for any questions and information.
Third venue was the Airship 37 located at 37 Parliament Street beside the Distillery area. Another unique venue set up to imagine your perfect event. One large room with bar and tables, a separate room at the back and even a bus as an alternate room with furniture and all the comforts.
La Maquette at 111 King Street East was the fourth venue visited. This former restaurant is another very welcoming venue – with two floors, beautiful views, elegant staircase and décor, bars and a separate room at the front and side.
The fifth location is the Berkeley Bicycle Club at 504 Jarvis Street. This unique venue offers an outside bar in summer, interesting décor inside this historic building with so much character.
The Berkeley Events Open House on January 29 allowed guests to see all 5 venues ….while sipping a glass of wine and enjoying some tasty snacks… and to see which one venue would best meet their future entertainment needs. A great chance to check out these beautiful venues.

We would like to thank The Berkeley Event Group for the invitation to this event.
