Sound of Music Festival Kick-off Concerts@Burlington, Ontario-Sat.,June 8th, 2019
By Wayne Baggs
Sound of Music Festival Kick-off concerts are getting better every year. Celebrating the 40th year The Sound of Music is now Canada’s largest free music festival.
The park setting and set up are part of the reasons. The weather couldn’t have been better, the sun shining all day. A cool little breeze off the lake later didn’t chill the vibe of the thousands of fans.
The main reason for being there, excellent music. Bush – Live – Monster Truck – Headstones – Crown Lands – Black Mountain Whiskey Rebellion and the local opening act The Castor Troys seemed to be enjoying it as much as the fans.
Great vibe all day long. Lots of food trucks helped if you got there early. Always on my must go to festival list every year. Already ready for next year and we don’t even know who’s playing.
Great times. Check out the web site for the rest of the fest. https://soundofmusic.ca/
