Kensington Market Jazz Festival. Sept. 13,14&15,2019

By Wayne Baggs
Molly Johnson knows how to throw a party. Great musicians playing great music in one of the best settings of Toronto. What a great place to hang out for a weekend of jazz. Kensington Market in the middle of September is alive.

From intimate piano solos at Tom’s Place to full out hopping Jazz bands taking it to the streets, Kensington Jazz Festival has it.

Jim Cuddy gave one of the best performances I’ve seen from him to get the whole thing going. Three days of watching many of the best Jazz musicians Canada offers isn’t hard to take. The atmosphere of Kensington Market is also hard to beat.

Just walking from one venue to the next becomes part of the live music experience. Many great volunteers made the experience and finding what you needed more than easy. Molly Johnson’s enthusiasm for Jazz and live music spills out everywhere.

This I believe contributed to the great vibe felt everywhere I went. This festival is now on my list of things I’ll be doing every year. Thank you, Molly, for your commitment and dedication, Bravo on a great festival. See you all there next year.

We would like to thank Eric Alper for the invitation to Kensington Jazz Festival and we look forward to the 2020 edition of this event.
