 Dave Merheje, Juno Award winning comedian and star on Hulu’s Ramy, is proud to announce he will be taping a stand-up special at Just For Laughs MONTRÉAL on Tuesday, July 27 at L’Astral, in addition to hosting the New Faces: Canada showcase on Friday, July 30.Dave Merheje will tape a stand-up special for CTV Comedy and Crave, filmed in front of a live audience in Montreal over two shows on Tuesday, July 27. In his comedy special, Dave will talk about growing up in Windsor with his Lebanese family, and going to therapy in a culture that really doesn’t do that. This brand new, original comedy special will be taped as part of a series featuring some of the country’s best working comedians, and air on CTV Comedy Channel at a later date.

Dave Merheje will also host the New Faces: Canada showcase on Friday, July 30, featuring the freshest Canadian comedians in the game. This is a full circle moment as Dave Merheje won the Just For Laughs Homegrown Competition in 2011, which morphed into the News Face: Canada showcase in 2019. The New Faces: Canada 2021 showcase will be performed for a live audience in Montreal and will be available to view online with a ComedyPRO pass.Dave Merheje co-stars alongside Ramy Youssef and Mo Amer in the award winning comedy series Ramy on Hulu. As a stand up, Dave has made multiple appearances at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, JFL42 in Toronto, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and he tours clubs and theatres regularly. In 2018 Dave released his comedy special Good Friend Bad Grammar, which won the 2019 Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year. His most recent comedy special, Beautifully Manic, can be seen on Netflix as part of Comedians of the World.Dave Merheje
