Strike Back Studios engagingbuddy comedy thriller “I, Challenger,” directed by Paul Boyd ( his third feature film & best known as an acclaimed music video director having worked with Sting, Seal, Tina Turner, Mick Jagger, Celine Dion, Lenny Kravitz, and Shania Twain), is available now on all TVOD/Digital platform release in the United States and Canada. “I, Challenger” is a cinematic sibling to the best of the stoner buddy comedies in the vein of the franchises from Seth Rogen and Cheech & Chong.

“I, Challenger” follows Sid (James Duval), a perennial kid who spends his days playing video games and selling weed but is about to be evicted. Desperate to change his life he enlists his gaming buddy, Logan (Coy Stewart) in a dangerous, hair-brained, scheme involving the livestream of Sid being buried alive for 24 hours. At first it seems Sid’s luck is finally on the upswing with a financial windfall and even a romance with his favorite cannabis dispensary clerk (Tina Majorino).  But then a disastrous near-death experience when the self-burial misfires will change everything.

Strike Back Studios most recently released the critically acclaimed feature documentary “The United States of Insanity” that screened on over 600 screens nationwide on October 26, 2021. It is starting its limited theatrical run November 12th and is set for release on Video On Demand and DVD December 10th.
