Projects Added to Netflix in Your Neighbourhood Website

Netflix in Your Neighbourhood which launched last fall. This website, created by Netflix, makes it easier for fans both local and from around the world to find and explore some of the amazing Canadian filming locations for many of Netflix’s most popular films and series. As of today the site has been updated with new films and series to include:

  • Sex/Life, a boundary pushing series shot around the city of Toronto starring Sarah Shahi, Mike Vogel and Adam Demos; 
  • Awake, starring Gina Rodriguez alongside Torontonian Shamier Anderson, which transformed Uxbridge, Ontario into a post-apocalyptic town; 
  • The Adam Project, Vancouver shot family adventure starring Ryan Reynolds and helmed by Canadian director Shawn Levy (released on Netflix today); 
  • Brazen, a murder mystery from Vancouver-based director Monika Mitchell, and filmed around Vancouver and Surrey, British Columbia; and the hit comedy series;
  •  The Guide to the Perfect Family / Le Guide de la famille parfaite which was shot on location throughout Quebec.

Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy also took some time to share their thoughts on their favourite Vancouver eateries and their enduring love for Vancouver (between them they have made 6 films in the BC!). Check out their answers on Netflix in Your Neighbourhood here! 

Visitors to Netflix In Your Neighbourhood can search by film or series title, or by province to discover the real life businesses and tourist destinations that are featured in their favourite Netflix productions. 

Netflix filming productions stretch from Sooke, British Columbia to St. John’s, Newfoundland and benefit Canadian communities by creating jobs and investments in local businesses while also creating a desire among Netflix members to visit Canada and learn more about our cities, food, wilderness and culture.
