By Jody&Katherine Glaser June 22nd was a special date this year for staff and sponsors of Sheena’s Place to once again hold their signature fundraising event “Shout Out” for Sheena’s Place after two years of the pandemic and the 25th Silver Anniversary. One King West was an exciting new destination for guests to discover in this beautifully converted former bank building with old world elegance. What excitement to walk up those stairs into a reception featuring aerial artist Nicole Malbeauf performing on silks and spinning hoops high above. Special guest host, television personality Rick Campanelli, did an excellent job of not only introducing special guest speakers, but in keeping the festivities upbeat along side a live band and DJ from Sole Power Productions. Eating disorders affect many people. Sheena’s Place has been taking care its members for many decades and their support is needed now more than ever. This successful event could not have happened without the loyal support of sponsors including The Jesin-Neuberger Family Foundation, ZZ Contracting, Accenture Inc., Fidelity Investment and TD Bank. Sheena’s Place is a community mental health charity that supports individuals affected by eating disorders. Sheena’s Place offers a wide range of professionally facilitated groups to individuals (ages 17+) who live with an eating disorder or disordered eating, as well as their family and friends.
