Lee Aaron @ The El Mocambo-Fri.,July 22nd, 2022
By Wayne Baggs & BKONTHESCENE
It was a scorching Friday, but that didn’t diminish the enthusiastic fans waiting early in line to see Lee Aaron before her concert.
We were invited to the sound check which included a fan meet and greet with ”The Metal Queen.” Lee Aaron. She has always been gracious, and fans received a selfie, a signed item, an intimate live performance and a chance speak to her. It was her birthday last week, and the fans serenaded her for the magical 60th.
It was a historical event at the legendary El Mocambo , as it was 38 years ago that the Metal Queen album was showcased at the Elmo stage. The unique concert was a one-night-only LIVE recording of the evening.

In 2000, Aaron released a jazz album and In March, 2016, she released her first all-rock album in 20 years. C’mon’ the first single from her forthcoming album ‘Radio On’ is out now.

Lee Aaron and her band put on an amazing performance. It was great to see a more diverse crowd at The El Mocambo, with 50% women and so many people singing along to the songs. The sound quality was superb, and Aaron is still on top her game. Her vocal skills were memorable at the Elmo.

It was a great vibe on Friday night and now that live music is back at the legendary Elmo, we can’t wait to see Lee Aaron play live again in the future.
