Blue Jays Vs. Pittsburgh Pirates-Saturday,Sept.3rd,2022

It was a big win for the Blue Jays, as Bo Bichette was the hero for the day and the Jays won 4-1 over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Bo Bichette was the king here on Saturday as a bases-loaded double in the seventh drove in three runs. The win allowed the Jays to improve to 26-17 under their new manager and set up a potential series sweep of the Bucs on Sunday afternoon at PNC Park.

Now 43 games into his big league managerial career, coach John Schneider has his imprint deep on the Jays team that has under-achieved to this point, but one that still has aspirations off a memorable couple months ahead.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Blue Jays need a big September.

Alek Manoah of the Toronto Blue Jays pitches during the first inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Before that, Schneider steered teenagers such as Biggio, Jansen, Bichette and Vlad Guerrero Jr. through the minor leagues and to show them the highest levels of preparation.

Let’s see what version of the Blue Jays we see for the finale on Sunday. A sweep will increase their chances of a post season wild card position.
