Musician Pavlo Simtikidis, also known as Pavlo is a Greek-Canadian guitarist who plays a mixture of Mediterranean sounds with the styles of Greece, Rumba, Flamenco, Spanish, Balkan, Pop and Latin music.
Mostly an instrumental concert, Pavlo’s Mediterranean music was full of different emotions: the audience was energetic, cheered, danced, shouted out and whistled. Over the span of his 20-year career, Pavlo, has released 15 albums, including 4 PBS TV concert Specials.
Special guests included: Lazos Ioannidis on the Lyra. Lazo is featured Live in Santorini PBS, and G. Pinto on Violin. Pinto was featured in Santorini and Kastoria PBS TV specials, Daniel Emmett, a finalist on America’s Got Talent, local talent & guitarist Rob Tardik, Carson Freeman on Sax and Vocalist & Jazz Bistro owner Colin Hunter sharing the stage with Pavlo and his band.
Some of the unique renditions of classics included: Nights In White Satin (Daniel Emmett singing), Love Story (Daniel Emmett singing),Smooth Criminal, Day Tripper, My Way (Sung By Colin Hunter), Bon Jovi’s Make A Memory and Never On A Sunday.
Some of Pavlo’s highlights of the evening includes songs: Latin Love, which was the encore, Fantasia, which brought out all the special guest and their version of Bon Jovi’s, Make A Memory.
