It was a capacity crowd at The Andy Kim Christmas, as it returned to Massey Hall on Wednesday with a collection of iconic performers celebrating this year’s holiday season. The 18th version of the renowned concert series saw Andy Kim bring Canada’s and Toronto’s most decorated musical talent together for an evening of cheer with all proceeds donated to CAMH. https://www.camh.ca/en/driving-change/about-camh

Once again the Toronto music community came together to donate their time (none of the artists were paid) to this charity.

A yearly tradition for the finale of the evening, (the concert lasted 3.5 hrs) all the musicians and special guest converged on the stage for a very nice rendition of Sugar Sugar, and then the confetti to end the evening with a standing ovation by the attendees.

Andy Kim talked between songs about his great career, musical friendships and the videos of him from the 1960’s through to the 80’s were a great touch as an amazing nostalgia trip down “memory lane”. The superstar backing band were right on key and they looked like they really enjoyed performing, just as much as the audience were there to party for a great cause.

Overall a great evening provided by Andy Kim’s entourage of musical guest, philanthropy and laughs provided by the hilarious Sean Cullen. In the spirit of giving, everyone in the audience were thoughtful enough to attend the concert and Andy Kim thanked the musicians and the audience “from the bottom of my heart l thank everyone here.”
