By Franklin Lau & BKONTHESCENE
It was a night “Under the Neon Palms” at the El Mocambo. As Toronto’s hard rock legends Coney Hatch performed thier debut album in its entirety to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their certified gold record.
The show included additional songs from their extensive catalog. Coney Hatch returned to the iconic El Mocambo where they first played back in 1983.
Always engaging with their loyal fans, there was a VIP fan engagement that included early entry to the venue to witness the soundcheck, a meet & greet with all four members, photos with the band and an autograph session.

The show also included background stories about their songs and the audience were really enthusiastic throughout the concert, singing, shouting and dancing.
This was the bands only Canadian show before they were suppose to start their UK tour in January 2023. But unfortunately their tour with Iron Maiden’s Bassist Steve Harris’ band : British Lion has been cancelled.

Coney Hatch is: vocalist and guitarist Carl Dixon, vocalist and bassist Andy Curran, guitarist Sean Kelly and drummer Dave ‘Thumper’ Ketchum. Some of the highlights included the great backdrops, the great sound system from the ElMo and all the hits from their iconic first album.
