THE ARK OF LILBURN follows the journey of a father and son’s dream of transporting their 55 foot long, 19 foot high, and 130,000 pound steel yacht “The Hardship” fromLilburn, GA Lilburn, GA to Knoxville, TN down to its final destination in Tampa, FL and the comedic chaos that ensures trying to transport this vessel. “The idea of building a vessel came up in 2002 and in late 2003, production started on the boat. For four years a small crew and I poured our passion into the vessel only to see it come to a screeching halt in 2008. With the economy crashing, the business hurting, and a divorce on the horizon, the project was put to sleep for the next 12 years,” said Lowe Porter, owner of Porter Steel, Inc. Producer Jaye Tyroff discovered the boat while on a location scout at Porter Steel, Inc for another film and immediately saw the potential for a riveting story. THE ARK OF LILBURN is directed by Nicholas deKay from Athloach Pictures and produced by Jaye Tyroff from NoBull Productions. The film stars Lowe Porter, the owner of the multi-million dollar steel company Porter Steel, Inc, and his son Vice President of Porter Steel, Inc, Cole Porter. Nicholas deKay (5-time SAG Award nominee with 1 win) and Jaye Tyroff (2-time SAG Award nominee), have been stuntmen for almost 17 years and have appeared in well over 300 films and television shows. This is each of their first films as filmmakers. Gravitas Ventures will release the film on digital platforms on December 13, 2022. The film has a running time of 108 minutes and will not be rated by the MPAA.
